Noby Leong

Noby Leong is a food and science communicator. He was born in Malaysia and raised in Australia, where he gained a PhD in chemistry from the University of Adelaide. He now lives in Glasgow. Noby has featured in a range of print, web, radio and television outlets including Scientific American, BBC Radio Scotland, ABC Radio and Triple J. Noby has also co-hosted two food science documentaries, Feeding Australia and How Food Works (Australian Broadcasting Corporation), and featured on The Chefs’ Line (Netflix). Noby was runner-up in the 2021 Yan Kit So Memorial Award, which celebrates food writing on Asia. In 2024, he was awarded the Golden Chopsticks scholarship from the Oxford Cultural Collective. Noby is currently working on a book celebrating his Malaysian heritage.
