Hanna is from the UK and lives in Norwich. Having trained as a costume maker at RADA, she has worked in the London theatre and film costume industry for several years. She holds an MA in Japanese Studies from SOAS and a PhD in Creative and Critical Writing PhD from the University of Sussex. She was a joint winner of the Emerging Writer Award in 2018 and a runner-up in the 2021 Mslexia Novel Prize. Hanna is working on her debut novel.
