Kemide Lawson

Kemide Lawson is the co-founder and Creative Director of The Cornrow, an Afrocentric home and lifestyle store. Her home interiors Instagram account, Cottage Noir, was nominated for an Amara Interior Blog Award for Most Inspiring Blog in 2020. Kemi curated an installation which re-imagined the bedroom of Dido Elizabeth Bell, a Black British historical figure from the 1800s, for the Museum of the Home in 2022. She has been featured in several papers and magazines including the Guardian, the Sunday Times Style section, the Evening Standard, Harper’s Bazaar, Elle  Decoration and Stylist. Kemi is working on her first book The Black Home: From 2,000 B.C. into the Future. She lives in north London with her family.
