Stephanie was born in London to a French-Creole Mauritian family. In 2010 she graduated with a BA in Creative Writing from London Metropolitan University. Her short story collection, The Other World, It Whispers, was published by Salt in 2016.
In 2017 it was longlisted for the Edge Hill Short Story Prize and Saboteur Awards, and shortlisted for the DIVA Literary Awards. Her short stories, ‘Memento Mori’ and ‘The Girl in the Painting’ have been broadcast on BBC Radio 4, and an essay ‘Dark Hollow Falls’ on BBC Radio 3. Stephanie has also published articles about her spiritual and holistic experience in various magazines including The Numinous. She is currently working on her memoir as well as other short fiction.
